Lily and Her Pretend Games

Got love them!!

Elena let Lily play with a ring of hers one day and Lily played her pretend 'marry me' game most of that afternoon.

A New Year but Pretending it is Still December

It is hard to believe it is already 2014!

I have fallen behind in my blogging this past December so I will use this first week in January to do a little catch-up.

A little December house cleaning.

Isn't this just such pretty vintage wallpaper?

It is on the wall inside one of our cupboards. I do not think I ever want to remove it. It makes me smile every time I see it.

A December house project.

I had this awesome idea to pull up the carpet in our entryway. The carpet was very icky. A cat was confusing it for a little box. Gross. It should be a quick thing...not. I did not expect there to be old linoleum glued over the pretty wood.

Sigh...This will take a long time to get off. Any suggestions?

Jack Frost nipping at our windows. It has been a cold December.

Want a cat? This is not the one who used the entryway as a littler box...but she does need a little behavior training to not jump on the counters or in the trash...but she is SO pretty and is very affectionate. Let me know if you are interested.

How to Make a Tasty Supper

Find a cute girl who wears hats well

Let her do her magic with the rolling pin and tortilla dough

Cook up the tortillas on a hot griddle and add some southwest bean mixture

Finally get the approval of another cute girl who, in this case, wears a sweatshirt hood well.

That is how it is done!

Sewing Catch Up

I am doing a little sewing catch-up posting today.

I already have these three dresses complete (for a couple weeks now) but I have not taken pictures of the completed dresses and realized I had not posted about the dresses while they were in the process of being made!

I will show you the in progress pictures that since I already have these pictures taken.

I will take the finished pictures soon and post them.

They turned out SO pretty.

As you see at this point I still need to finish adding the back button and loop. I also have to still edge stitch around the necklines.

I am still needing to add the hem bands at this point.
