Where Have I Been Anyway?!!

Our computer crashed last week so I have not been able to post anything!!

It looks like I will be computer less for a while longer.

At least it is in the summer when I can occupy my time with other things.

But then again there are SO many fun summer things to blog about!!

I am at the library right now looking for books on how to build a bunk bed and thought "hey! I will try to blog from here!"

Well, it is a little awkward but at least I can let you all know that I have not fallen from the face of the earth.

I am still here.

Oh, there has been a great deal happening around here but no time to share it all now.

I figured out how to load a pictures onto the library computer so here is a teaser of last week at the Waseca County Fair.

Yes!!

Our goofy Internet has been terrible the last few weeks!

But Yah!!! It decided to work for a few minutes tonight!!

I need to type fast.

It has been a tad of a stressful weekend.

Somethings we were anticipating to happen never seemed to come to pass.

Very sad about that but life moves on despite disappointments, doesn't it?

Ah!

The visor is down (see my last post) but after a few very emotional days I am ready to sit back,stop flapping my wings, and trust God and his wisdom.

One thing we did do this weekend was a good amount of painting. In anticipation of our growning family by adoption, we are moving bedrooms around, painting walls, mending bunk beds,in the process of purchasing a few more. We did not get the new bunk beds purchased yet but will soon.

We have a tentative home study date set up in a few weeks. That is very exiting!

And we have our court date for our re adoption of Naomi,Odell,and Joyce.

Things are moving forward at a lazy river pace,but still moving.

And guess what time it is?!!!!

Fair time!!!!!

This is one of my favorite parts of Waseca. It really is.



There is a lot about Waseca I like, but this is one of the best.

Up or Down

Because we have our bus now, I sit right in back of Jeff not on his right side.

It might seem odd to others but I do not mind it at all.

There is just one thing that really bothers me about this seating arrangement.

Jeff's visor being down.



I do not know why not seeing where we are driving bothers me so much.

There are many other windows I can look out of.

I think it makes me feel less in control.

In control of what!

I do not even know how to drive.

Funny!

As we were driving around the other day and I was stewing over Jeff's visor being down. Who cares if the sun is in his eyes...

Something kind of profound crossed through this fluff dense mind of mine.

This whole visor issue is actually a tender and sweet object lesson in faith.

How many times do I want to see where God is taking me before we get there?

Almost all the time!

Some of those times God does put the visor up so I can see a little of what is ahead.



Then again, there are those many times when the visor stays down despite my fussing and pleading and pouting.

God asks me to trust that he knows where he is taking me.

He knows the way.

He knows the obstacles.

He knows the fears.

He knows the outcome.

He also knows the good,and the blessings,and the joy that come along as I walk in faith.

You know the silliest thing?

I think I am going to start liking this visor someday.

P.S We were NOT lost. We do just drive down random dirt roads with the bus for fun (yes,really) but this time we were actually looking for Lemond Road. Never found it but we did have a fun time.

If you have heard today I turned 43,

you must have misunderstood.

If you have noticed a little extra gray in my hair today,

you might have just seen wrong.

I feel pretty spry.

you noticed wrong...

I have a mind like a steel trap!

Cherry Police

Ok...

I'm not sure what you have been told

BUT

I was not trying to control the green cherries.



My intention was not to hoard them.



Or to deprive others from enjoying them.



I just thought...

I just thought they would come in handy someday.



You know for one of those recipes that I come across that might need green cherries.

It does happen.

Don't look so sad.

I can improvise if the need for green cherries arises.

Don't worry.
