My revamped circus dress.

I spent a good amount of time yesterday morning redoing the collar (three times) and also the hem on my circus dress.

Now it is much better.

The two front collar pieces are overlapping a little more than I wanted but it looks WAY better than it did before. I am satisfied enough to leave it this way.

and here is the other a-line dress I made with a collar. This collar is perfect. Just the right amount of space between the two front collar pieces. See,I am a quick learner.

Testing my skills by adding collars to two A-line dresses I am making. I made the collar pattern myself.

Here is the first dress finished. Isn't the fabric awesome!! Notice what I did? Look behind the bow. The collar pieces are set too far apart. I did not think about the seam allowance around the neckline. I will correct it on the next dress.

Lily still with her Strawberry shortcake freckles. It was hard to get her to corporate to get good pictures. A mini photo shoot after a bunch of candy is not a good thing.

Another Little House Day

First we made some owls on a tree maybe like Laura and her family might have seen in the Big Woods.

why not add a few extra decorations of the Halloween kind while we are at it.

Then we made some beans with salt pork and yeast rolls

and for dessert we made vinegar pies.

Another tasty and fun day!

Be Prepaired!

for the zillion pictures I just posted.

I finally got some pictures taken of the skirts for my shop. Some of the skirts I just finished and others I had done for a few months. You will recognize most all of them.

I had pretty nice lighting this morning and was feeling semi creative. I really do not have a photographer's eye. I can sew well but taking pictures is not a talent I have. Still, I though most of these turned out rather well.
