I pulled out this 1949 pattern yesterday and thought I would make the dress.

I have not finished the dress yet but here it is so far.

The picture is not very good and the fabric was just some random stuff I had around. Neither does the dress pattern justice. The dress looks pretty bland so far. I like the dress but because I am very visual, I can not get passed the bland part. The sleeve construction is nothing I have ever come across before in a good way. Next time I will make the dress in pretty fabric.

The dress is a size 3. I wish I knew how to make the pattern multi sized.

A Little Party

We invited our arachnid friends.

They made themselves at home by redecorating.

A few guests visited from beyond

Some thought it was a BYO beverage party

A few brought their own light, just in case...the WWZ apocalypse...you know...never hurts to be prepared

Update on Grant in Ghana

I thought I would update you on how Grant is doing in Ghana.

We have heard bits and pieces of the work he is helping with out there and were able to talk to him on the phone a few times and the word is he is doing very good! He has been in Ghana for 5 weeks and will be back here in Minnesota November 19th. He has a few more weeks left. He has been enjoying his time.
