Up or Down

Because we have our bus now, I sit right in back of Jeff not on his right side.

It might seem odd to others but I do not mind it at all.

There is just one thing that really bothers me about this seating arrangement.

Jeff's visor being down.

I do not know why not seeing where we are driving bothers me so much.

There are many other windows I can look out of.

I think it makes me feel less in control.

In control of what!

I do not even know how to drive.

Funny!

As we were driving around the other day and I was stewing over Jeff's visor being down. Who cares if the sun is in his eyes...

Something kind of profound crossed through this fluff dense mind of mine.

This whole visor issue is actually a tender and sweet object lesson in faith.

How many times do I want to see where God is taking me before we get there?

Almost all the time!

Some of those times God does put the visor up so I can see a little of what is ahead.

Then again, there are those many times when the visor stays down despite my fussing and pleading and pouting.

God asks me to trust that he knows where he is taking me.

He knows the way.

He knows the obstacles.

He knows the fears.

He knows the outcome.

He also knows the good, and the blessings, and the joy that come along as I walk in faith.

You know the silliest thing?

I think I am going to start liking this visor someday.

Will It Fit?

Have you ever played the game Will It Fit?

It should be a TV game show or something.

The satisfied winner!

Just a cool random picture.

Apparently, we found out, this game embarrasses 17 year olds...

Go figure...

P.S We were NOT lost. We do just drive down random dirt roads with the bus for fun (yes, really) but this time we were actually looking for Lemond Road. Never found it but we did have a fun time.

Happy 4th of July!!!!

A happy 4th of July to everyone!!!

Now do not let the quality of these pictures fool you!

We did have a very fun 4th of July.

I hope you did too!

Ok, those first two were actually pretty good.

It is these next ones that are not the best.

But as you can see, we all had fun!

Rumors

If you have heard today I turned 43,

you must have misunderstood.

If you have noticed a little extra gray in my hair today,

you might have just seen wrong.

If you have noticed I am a little more rickety today

...well...

...no...

I feel pretty spry.

If you have noticed today that I was a tad more forgetful,

you noticed wrong...

I have a mind like a steel trap!

SO

If you have noticed any evidence of me being 43,
...well...

you are just plum wrong!!

Cherry Police

Ok...

I'm not sure what you have been told

BUT

I was not trying to control the green cherries.

My intention was not to hoard them.

Or to deprive others from enjoying them.

I just thought...

I just thought they would come in handy someday.

You know for one of those recipes that I come across that might need green cherries.

It does happen.

Don't look so sad.

I can improvise if the need for green cherries arises.

Don't worry.

I will try not to be the cherry police anymore.

Church Beer?

Our church called us up to let us know that there were a few boxes in the church office with our name on them.

We had no idea what the boxes contained. Jeff went over to pick the boxes up.

Look at all the food!

How very unexpected and kind that was!!

As the kids were looking through the boxes Joel came running out shouting with lots of excitement "They gave us beer! Mom, they gave us beer!"

Ha Ha! Well we knew that could not be so had Joel bring the beer to us...

I suppose to a little six year old this looks like beer.

I just love Joel.

And Thanks Christ Community Church!
