FAC 2014 Sports Clinic

A bunch of the kids spent this week at the FCA Waseca Sports Clinic.

It made for very tired kids at the end of each day but they will say it was worth it.

Here are a few snap shots of this evening's family pizza party.

Cyrus was too old for the camp but helped out.

I am missing pictures of Joel and Josh but they were there, as well.

Lily has a few years left before she will go to the camp but she is already thinking about what sports to pick.

What A Gathering!

This past Sunday evening we had the privilege of hosting a FCA HeavenWord Handlers family gathering at our house. I heard there were about thirty five adults and children in attendance! Wow! Good thing we have a roomy house! A gathering usually means...

Great food!

Thanks Coach John and FCA for bringing the pizza, guests for bringing the yummy desserts, and our own Elena for the great side dishes!

The HeavenWord Handlers did a GREAT job!

In a few weeks they get the privilege of performing during halftime for both the Men's and Woman's Northwestern College.

Waseca's Inside-Out FCA Day Camp

This is the last of the FCA camp fun for the kids for the summer. I have some pretty sad kids around here.

Elena and Grant help out as Huddle leaders as well as other jobs. They really enjoyed their time.

Alan,Cyrus,Joyce, and Nolan attended as campers. They had a lot of fun as well. I know they will all be looking forward to next summer!

Elena took pictures today of some of the kids in her Huddle. Everyone looks like they had a very fun time Great pictures Elena!

FCA Camp Thursday Highlights

Elena did not video the HeavenWord Handlers performance at the Owattona FCA day camp this past Wednesday BUT she did take the camera Thursday which was the last day of the camp so we have some fun pictures of the camp attenders.

This was Owattona's first year hosting a FCA day camp. I heard there were around 25 kids attending the camp. Thirteen children made personal decisions to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior at the camp! Elena and Grant thought it was so neat to be involved as camp leaders. This next week it is Waseca's turn to host a FCA day camp. Elena and Grant will once again help as leaders.Alan,Cyrus,Joyce, and Nolan will attend as day campers. They are all pretty exited.

HeavenWord Handlers At The Fair

Friday and Saturday evening The HeavenWord Handlers performed at the Waseca County Fair.

The HeavenWord Handlers took the time to teach the fair crowd different ball handling tricks and passed out tracks to those in the audience who were interested.

Here is a video of this evenings performance.

Courtesy of Elena. Thanks, Elena!

There are a few new tricks that the kids added to the performance. Cyrus doing a backwards somersault while spinning the ball and Jacob D. doing some flips. All of the kids did a GREAT job!!!

Mankato FCA Day Camp

Elena and Grant have been a part of Mankato's FCA day camp staff this week and Alan was able to go as a camp attender. They had a LOT of fun! Grant and Elena were able to participate as Huddle leaders which involved many fun things like Bible studies,a skit, and encouraging the kids in their groups. Alan said tonight that he wished the day camp did not end.

Here are a few of the kids in the group Elena helped lead.

HeavenWord Handlers Are At It Again!!!

Here is another great performance from the Waseca HeavenWord Handlers!

Austin Hinton, Shane Streich, Jacob Dooley, Grant, Alan, Joyce, and Cryus are the kids that make up the HeavenWord Handlers A Team.

Today they performed at the Mankato FCA sports day camp. They did a great job!!!

HeavenWord Handlers

Wednesday afternoon Grant, Alan, Joyce, and Cyrus along with others on their HeavenWord Handler's team helped at a basketball clinic in Janesville. Jeff helped as one of the coaches.

Elena was there to video the performance and take pictures. Thanks Elena!!!

The HeavenWord Handler Performance team are all in the bright yellow shirts.

Grant is spinning the ball on a very long pole!

Sorry about the focus on this video at times. Our camera is not an actual video camera just a camera that has a video feature and it takes the auto focus a few seconds to catch up.

This video is showing the Heavenword Handlers teaching ball tricks to the Janesville students.
