A Photo Shoot...Kind-of

A few days ago, I forgot the exact day but it was I think Tuesday because I remember talking to Nolan while he was in his baseball uniform while I was holding my camera.

Nolan wearing his baseball uniform would have meant he had a baseball game and he usually has baseball games on Tuesdays and Thursdays...I guess it could have been Thursday. I forget but it was sometime this past week that I stole a few minutes to goof around with my camera.

I start out taking a candid picture of Josh fixing his bike.

Then Lily

Like Lily's ankle tattoo?

It is very colorful...

I pride myself on teaching my kids to dance to their own music not anyone elses'...

Ha ha...SO not true...no, I am kind of a conformist...I am kind of a 'fraid-y cat and care a little too much of what others think of us.

A self-y plus one. What is up with my skin? Is it always so yellow-ish and blotchy?

Too much tanning in my youth or too much Picasa saturation or just the result of turning 45?

At least the plus one of my self-y is all out adorable!!

Jeff just got home from work so he joined my photo shoot and so did Joel.

Just one more shot before the camera gets put away.

One Day...

"One day you have it all figured out,

Then you realize there is something better because God is there.

One day follows the next.

Good times and bad times.

Times when your dreams are on hold and times when they come true.

Times when you feel alone and times when you feel love overwhelming.

Times when you make sacrifices and times when you are overwhelmed with blessings.

Because you are obedient and God is there, He takes all these times and he works in you.

He works through you.

Give it all to him.

This is His time."

~ Awesome quote from the movie This is Our Time

Back to Illinois

Monday morning we had a send off pancake breakfast for Jeff's parents, Jeff's sister Sandy, and two of her boys (Noah and Bram) before they headed back home.

It actually turned out to be more of a late lunch because of our electric griddle malfunctioning.

You know how there are three laws of motion? For example law number one... "An object will stay at rest unless some force is applied to it"...

Well, there has to be some sort of the laws of daughter-in-laws list out there in which one law would be "when trying to impress the in-laws everything will go wrong."

~SIGH~

I am glad I have understanding and patient in-laws.

All the goof-ups aside, it was a very fun morning!

And great pictures to prove it!!

Ok. this is an impressive group!!

a second take...

let's see if I can name everyone

Left to right:

Grandpa Bob, Joel, Lily, Odell, Cousin Noah, Grandma Wanda, Josh, Anya, Grace, Naomi, Josiah, Elena, Jeff, Cousin Bram, Nolan, Joyce, Ekie, and Grant.

Graduation Evening Bon Fire

Last night we had a fun bonfire with Jeff's mom and Dad, his sister Sandy and two of her boys Noah and Bram.

It was so kind of them to make the long drive from Illinois to help us make Grant's day that much more special.

Wanda (Jeff's mom) even gave up her annual donut ball fundraiser to be here!

A big thank you to them!!

Here are a few highlight photos taken by Elena.
