The Waseca Blue Jays won over the Blue Earth Buccaneers 30 to 18 last night for their homecoming game!
I got a few pictures of Josiah #33 in action. I am sorry for the blurriness.
I do not know much about football as I mentioned in another post but I do enjoy seeing my boys in action!

Waseca Homecoming Parade!
This is a big day!!
The homecoming parade was this afternoon!
I was excited to see Josiah on the boys varsity football float!!
Here was my small crew. A peppy looking bunch don't you think?
Grace was not feeling well, but I did not know that until the parade was over but now looking at the picture I can see it. She told me she felt like she was going to throw up and you know what this loving, nurturing mom said sternly in reply, " Don't you do that Grace. Not here. You need to wait until you get home. No, do not do that (as she is gagging)." What mom would say something like that. Not my finest mom moment. I hope no one else heard.
I had her sit down and breath and then gave her a sucker to suck on to sooth her tummy on the walk home.
Well, it worked. She did not throw up even when she got home but I had her rest in her bed for the afternoon.
I think I traumatized her for life, though.
I traumatized myself for life.
Would it have been that bad if she threw up in the middle of all the public school kids, teachers, parade goers? She would have gotten over the embarrassment but I do not think I would have.
Wow, what a mom I am.
~sigh~
The Waseca Marching Jays
A sweety
The Homecoming king and queen
The Cross Country team
The girls soccer team
Cyrus and his friend.

What I have been waiting the whole parade for!
Hey, where is Josiah!?
He is not easy to see hiding in the middle like that.
The big game against Blue Earth is tonight.

Number 83
I have not been able to make it to very many of the kids sporting events over the years but this year I am determined to make it to a few.
Those other sports moms can be pretty intimidating. They know their stuff. I made the mistake of referring to a football quarter as an inning today. Good thing only Jeff heard an corrected me.
Today I walked over to the school fields to watch Waseca's 8th grade football team play against Fairmont. I got some fun action pictures of Nolan #83.
I am not versed in action pictures so they are a bit blurry but Nolan looks awesome!
The varsity football players were practicing on the field next to Nolan's game field so as the varsity players were finishing up their practice I go a quick photo of Josiah. He is the boy in the front.
Here is a question: how many Oreos does one have to mindlessly eat while watching 4400 on Netflix to finally notice too many were eaten?
Hit...two rows are left.
Sigh.
Why do I do things like that?

Tuesday What Did You Bring?
Well...just normal-ness, I guess.
Thanks for asking.
Ha ha.
My mind isn't flowing cleaver-ness except in making up words that really do not exist.
I gave Josh, Anya, Naomi, and Ekie had a multiplication fact test today and for a job well done I thought they would enjoy making a special treat.

Melted chocolate, smooshed up pretzels, peanut butter, and mini marshmallows combined in any ratio will never fail.

See, told you so.

Always love the colorful paper route complaint slips. The pretty cheerful colors almost make me forget they are complaints. It is kind of like Marry Poppins when she sings:
A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way

A Lazy Monday
I am so tired tonight.
I can not think of one clever witty thing to say.
So forgive my dry blog post.
Tired.
And cold.
An early night under my cozy blankets sounds very good.
Before I go...
I did make a cute Christmas tie for Joel and also a few for my Etsy shop.
Be warned.
More ties are in the works.
But isn't this so cute!
If you have never made a tie before they are SO simple to make. The pattern I have has Velcro closer.
Lily the cat.
Josiah had a football potluck this evening and he was supposed to bring a dessert that served eight. Eight! I was not sure I even remembered how to make something that served a single digit number of people. I dug out the 9x9 pan. It was awful dusty!
A Josiah photo shoot.
Looking sweet for the ladies...
Tired.
Bed.
Sleep.
Good night.

Skid Row Rocks
Well, I would write something like that if say I was listening to my 80's rock station on Pandora Radio as I blog because they do rock but Journey just came on...
Journey totally rocks!
Now, I just need a few REO Speedwagon songs and my music night is complete. Yes, AC/DC has already graced my ears. But Joan Jett...really?
Pandora do you really need the political commercials? Anyway,I am voting for the 'other guy' but I will still take advantage of the free music.
Ok back to Skid Row...I Remember You, Too!!!
You do rock!!!
There is really nothing like '80's rock well '70's is pretty cool,too...
Enough of that.
I am telling you what you already know, anyway.
~Smile~
Random Friday pictures
Jeff brought me home a special treat this evening.
Bruegger's is about the only thing I miss about 'the cities'.
As well as my old church and the friends and family we left to go that hour south.
The girls made Josiah some birthday cupcakes.
We will officially celebrate his birthday Sunday but today is his official birthday day so cupcakes are in order.
Down in the 'teen cave'.
He must really be tired...
'cause he did not even finish his delish' white cracker before he nodded off.
